Freedom of Information
Members of the public have a legal right to access information held by Council and to apply for incorrect, out of date or misleading information about them to be amended or removed from their personal file.
Freedom of Information requests must be made in writing and accompanied by an application fee of $28.40 (as at 1 July 2017). The request must provide such information as is reasonably necessary to enable the documents to be identified. If the application is not clear Council has a legal duty to provide reasonable opportunity for consultation with the applicant to assist the applicant make a valid application.
