Commenting on Planning Permit Applications
If you are affected by a planning permit application, you can influence what is proposed and what gets approved. Anyone can inspect the plans and make a submission about an application if they have concerns about it, and an objector also has the right to have a planning decision reviewed.
If you wish to object to a planning permit it is important to specifically address the proposal and describe how you will be affected. Once your objection has been received Council will notify you that your objection has been received.
Council may invite you to a meeting to discuss your concerns directly with the applicant. If you reach a compromise with the applicant and you no longer have any concerns about the application, you can withdraw your objection in writing to Council.
