Council’s phone system and service centres are fitted with hearing loops, which assist people with hearing impairments to hear more clearly. Hearing loops work for anyone with a hearing aid fitted with telecoils (a T Switch). They cut out background noise and amplify the speaker’s voice. If you would like to use the hearing loop service when communicating with Council please let our staff know.
