The Festival takes place as an annual Spring-time event, presenting four days of round the clock jazz entertainment in popular clubs, bars and cafes, restaurants, churches, as well as street side and riverside venues. The Festival combines traditional swing to the more contemporary and quirky sounds that caters for hardcore jazz enthusiasts and music lovers, not to mention those that just want to sit back and soak up the ambience. The tractor-train tour commences from the Information Centre at 11.30am. It's all aboard for the tour which winds its way through the various exotic plantings. Complete with commentary, it's a very relaxing and informative way to spend 45 minutes. Garden tours cost is $5.50 and children under 12 are free. A light lunch supplied by the "Friends of the Gardens" is available from 12noon to 1.30pm. Gardens are open weekdays from 8am-4.30pm and weekends from 10am-4.30pm.
